President and CEO’s Letter: Supporting Innovation with Allegiant

As a community bank, one of our core missions is to support local companies that are innovating and providing jobs in our state. That’s why Nevada State Bank® was honored to be a presenting sponsor for the 2017 Las Vegas Business Press State of Nevada Innovation Awards. At this event, we helped recognize companies that have devised new and better ways to improve Nevadans’ lives today and create solutions for tomorrow’s challenges.

I’m proud that Nevada State Bank was able to directly support one of these innovative companies, Allegiant Air. Allegiant was honored for developing technology tools to help air travelers, as well as for its unique business model, which is focused on linking people in small and mid-sized cities to leisure destinations like Las Vegas. Beginning with one aircraft and one route in 1999, the Las Vegas-based carrier has grown to more than 80 aircraft and 300 routes across the country. It is a true home-grown success story.

Allegiant is now in the process of transitioning to an all-Airbus fleet, and Nevada State Bank was chosen to finance its first new Airbus A320ceo aircraft. Travel and tourism play an important part in Nevada’s economy, and it gives me great satisfaction to know that we are working with a local company that has found innovative ways to bring more visitors to our state.

Nevada State Bank has been helping local businesses since 1959, and this transaction represents an important milestone in our long history of supporting innovation and entrepreneurship. On behalf of Nevada State Bank, I would like to extend our congratulations, not only to Allegiant Air, but to all 21 winners of Innovation Awards.  I look forward to continuing our tradition of helping Nevada companies grow and succeed.

Sincerely,
