President’s Letter: Family Business Resources from Nevada State Bank

I’m pleased to announce that Nevada State Bank recently launched a new initiative aimed at helping family-owned businesses succeed and grow.  Since 1959, our bankers have been assisting Nevada families in dealing with the unique challenges they face as business owners, and this gives us a wealth of experience and know-how that we’d like to share with you.

I invite you to visit our new Family Business Resources web page, www.nsbank.com/family-business, to see links to articles and videos that we hope will help answer some of your questions about managing your business and passing it on to future generations.

Here are just a few of the items you’ll find on this page:

  • Articles from our quarterly Family Business Newsletters, such as “Should I Call You DAD? and Other Perils of Working for Your Family Business,” and “Developing a Winning Strategy for Family and Business: The Parallel Planning Process.”
  • A link to our August webinar, “Making Your Family Business Work,” with insights from a panel of experts about key family business concepts and resources for family business discussions
  • A link to a Nevada Business Magazine supplement featuring finalists for its 2013 Family Owned Business Awards, which we were proud to sponsor
  • A form to sign up for our quarterly newsletters so you’ll be able to receive this valuable information on a regular basis.

We will update the Family Business Resources page with new content as it becomes available.  For example, the next webinar will discuss “The Ten Must-Haves for Succession Planning,” and another Family Business Newsletter will be published next month.

I’d like you to take advantage of all these resources to help your family business succeed, and stop by any branch or Business Center to find out more about how Nevada State Bank can help you open the door to your future.

Best Regards,

Dallas Haun
